It all started with a love of horses, well, all animals really, but horses particularly captured my heart at a very young age. Growing up in the small town of Ojai California, a community that caters to both equestrian lovers and tennis enthusiasts, it is no surprise I developed an infatuation with these majestic creatures. I had a horse for a short time as a child, but really didn't learn to appreciate what true horsemanship and care was until many years later.

When I moved to Tennessee in 2007 to escape the rat race and expense of California, I felt that familiar pull toward horses. All the beautiful farmland and green open spaces, with horses perfecting the landscape, became an awakening of my equestrian passions. My poor husband thought he could cure me of my need to have my own horse by arranging riding lessons as a Christmas gift. Unbeknownst to either of us, this one thoughtful gift would spiral into what has now become Lakeside Stables! ​

My name is Natalie Brewer, and with the help and amazing support of my husband, Josh, my incredible family, and the dedication of some extremely hard working boarders, we are making it happen. Our goal is to create a place where horses can live comfortably in as close to their natural environment as possible, while providing their owners complete peace of mind.
